How Mystories Works

Real adventures with real people, right in your neighborhood.

1

Discover

Open the map and see what's happening near you. Walking tours, food crawls, photography walks, historic explorations — all created by people in your community. Filter by topic, date, or just browse what's close.

2

Join

Found something interesting? Join with one tap. You'll be added to the group chat where you can coordinate before the event. The host sets the meeting point, time, and any details you need.

3

Meet

Show up and explore together. Follow the itinerary stop by stop, unlock mystery locations as you get close, or just enjoy the journey. The app guides you — the people make it memorable.

4

Rate

After the adventure, leave a private review for each participant. Reviews are blind — neither side sees the other's rating until both have submitted. Over time, your reputation grows and you find better groups.

Three Ways to Explore

📍

Journey

A single-location meetup. Show up at a time and place, do something together, go home with new connections.

e.g. Saturday coffee meetup at the downtown roastery

🗺️

Itinerary

A multi-stop route. Walk through a curated sequence of locations — bars, landmarks, art installations, or anything else.

e.g. Historic downtown walking tour with 6 stops

🔮

Mystery

Stops are hidden until you're nearby. Use proximity to unlock each location, or solve clues and challenges along the way.

e.g. Scavenger hunt through the park with riddles at each stop

The Rating System

Trust is everything when you're meeting strangers. Mystories uses blind mutual review — after an adventure, both participants rate each other privately. Individual ratings are never shown — they only contribute to your aggregate average, so no one can see exactly how a specific person rated them.

Your aggregate rating becomes visible to others once you have enough reviews. This prevents retaliation and ensures the number is statistically meaningful. Recent ratings count more than old ones, so your reputation reflects who you are now.

The result: you can feel confident about who you're meeting, and hosts can build groups of people who consistently show up and contribute.

Who It's For

A photographer who wants to explore the city with other photographers on Saturday morning.

A local who hosts a monthly coffee crawl and wants to build a regular crew.

Someone new to town looking for an easy way to meet people who share their interests.

A history buff who creates walking tours of their neighborhood's hidden stories.

A group of friends who want to organize a bar crawl that anyone can join.

Mystories is in early access. We're a small team building something we believe in, and we'd love your feedback.
